SK Oceanplant has delivered the first batch of jacket foundations for Taiwan’s Fengmiao 1 offshore wind farm project. The delivery marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into the Taiwan offshore wind market.

The Fengmiao 1 offshore wind farm, located off Taichung, has a total capacity of 500MW and will be equipped with 33 wind turbines rated at 15MW each. SK Oceanplant secured the supply contract for the jacket substructures in June 2024 and has begun sequential deliveries of the ordered units.

The jacket foundations being supplied by SK Oceanplant represent the largest jackets ever installed in Taiwan’s offshore wind market, demonstrating the company’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and technological expertise in the offshore wind energy sector.

This project represents an important step for SK Oceanplant in establishing its presence in the Asian offshore wind market and strengthens its position as a key supplier of subsea structures for major offshore wind developments in the region.
