Northland signs long-term Hai Long PPA

Northland Power has signed a long-term corporate power purchase agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company for its Hai Long offshore wind project in Taiwan.
The company said the 30-year agreement will see TSMC offtake 100% of the project’s generating capacity once administrative procedures are completed later in 2026.
It added the deal builds on an existing partnership established in 2022 covering Hai Long 2B and Hai Long 3.
Northland noted the 1,022MW project is being developed with Mitsui & Co. and Gentari International Renewables.
The company said the agreement strengthens project economics and extends the revenue period for Hai Long.
“This agreement with TSMC reinforces the strategic importance of Hai Long,” said Christine Healy, president and ceo of Northland Power.
“Once the switch is complete it will enhance the project’s long-term economic fundamentals and contribute directly to value creation for Northland and its shareholders.”
