Mingyang hires ex-Siemens technical head

Mingyang has appointed Peter Wolf as director of transport and installation in Europe.

Wolf was most recently head of technical development offshore at Siemens Gamesa and was also global head of heavy lifting for the OEM prior to that.

He has previously held senior roles at DNV GL, STRABAG and SAL Heavy Lift.

Mingyang’s Europe CEO Horatio Evers said Wolf would be “instrumental” as the Chinese manufacturer aims to expand its footprint in European markets.

He added: “Delivering highly innovative products is one part of the equation – ensuring reliable and efficient logistics is equally critical.

“Peter’s leadership will strengthen our capabilities in this important area.”

Wolf will report to Mingyang chief technology officer Marc Sala.
