Envision wins 200MW Vietnam wind contract

Envision Energy has won a contract from REE Corporation to supply wind turbines for the 200MW Phu Cuong 1A and 1B wind project in Vietnam.

The company said the project is its largest wind project in Vietnam and its largest overseas nearshore wind project to date.

Envision added that the contract builds on its work on the 128MW Vinh Long wind projects.

The project will use 25 Envision EN-226/8.X YE wind turbines, which the company said are designed to maximise performance in Vietnam’s nearshore wind conditions.

Envision said the project provides a scalable model for wind development across ASEAN, covering turbine selection, engineering, project delivery and long-term operations.

Turbine deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027, with grid connection targeted for October 2027.

The company said the project marks another step in developing more reliable, resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure across Vietnam.
