Position: Business Development Manager – Thailand Data Center Industry (IDC)

Key responsibilities
- Conduct in‑depth market research and ongoing industry analysis of the Thailand data center (IDC) sector, including supply–demand dynamics, pricing models, regulatory developments, and the competitive landscape across colocation, cloud, and hyperscale segments.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate market trends, customer needs, and technology developments in Thailand’s digital infrastructure ecosystem, and translate these insights into actionable business development strategies and go‑to‑market plans.
- Identify, develop, and expand ecosystem resources in Thailand, including data center operators, colocation and hyperscale facilities, carriers, internet exchanges, cloud providers, and related infrastructure and service vendors (power, connectivity, construction, operations, etc.).
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long‑term relationships with local industry stakeholders, such as operators, partners, channel providers, enterprise customers, and government or industry bodies, forming a stable and sustainable cooperation network.
- Lead end‑to‑end business development activities, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, solution positioning, and commercial strategy for projects related to data centers and digital infrastructure in Thailand.
- Manage business communications with partners and customers, including requirements discovery, solution alignment, proposal preparation, and commercial negotiations, ensuring that business objectives and partner expectations are clearly understood and met.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to drive project progress, including technical solution teams, legal and finance functions, and local implementation partners, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within scope, and in line with contractual commitments.
- Support on‑the‑ground execution of regional or overseas projects in Thailand, acting as the key local interface for cross‑border teams, helping to resolve local issues, and ensuring smooth communication between international and Thai stakeholders.
- Contribute to brand building and market presence in Thailand by participating in industry events, conferences, and customer workshops, and by representing the company in professional forums related to data centers and digital infrastructure.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in the data center / IDC industry, preferably in roles related to business development, sales, account management, or ecosystem/partner management.
- Solid understanding of the Thailand data center ecosystem and value chain, including colocation providers, cloud and content players, telecom carriers, real estate and power stakeholders, and the regulatory and compliance environment.
- Proven track record in developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, or building strategic partnerships in data centers, cloud computing, telecommunications, or adjacent infrastructure sectors.
- Existing network of industry contacts, partners, or key customers in the Thailand data center or broader digital infrastructure market is highly preferred.
- Strong skills in negotiation, commercial structuring, and contract discussion, with the ability to balance customer requirements and internal risk/return considerations.
- Demonstrated capability in resource integration and coordination: able to mobilise internal teams and external partners to design solutions, respond to tenders, and support complex projects from early‑stage opportunity through to closing.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage credibly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior executives at customer and partner organisations.
- High level of project execution ability, including experience managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations in multi‑party or cross‑border projects.
- Professional working proficiency in English; additional Asian languages are an advantage but not mandatory.
- Long‑term working or living experience in Thailand, or deep familiarity with local business practices and culture, is strongly preferred.
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast‑growing, evolving market environment, with a willingness to travel within Thailand as required for business needs.
- Based in Thailand, with flexibility to work remotely as required during the initial stage of employment or project onboarding.
