Cubico appoints interim chief executive

Cubico Sustainable Investments has appointed Jens-Peter Saul as interim chief executive officer effective from 1 April 2026.

Saul will work with the board and executive committee to guide the company as it continues to deliver its growth strategy, Cubico said.

The company added that Saul has served as a non-executive director of Cubico for the past seven years and brings extensive leadership experience in the global energy sector.

The appointment follows the departure of David Swindin, who stepped down from the chief executive role after more than a decade supporting the growth of the business.

Cubico operates a global renewable energy portfolio across nine countries with 3.6GW in operation, about 500MW under construction and a development pipeline exceeding 7GW of solar, wind and battery storage projects.

The company is jointly owned by Public Sector Pension Investment Board and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.

“Having served on Cubico’s Board for several years, he brings deep knowledge of the company alongside significant leadership experience in the global energy sector.”
