Position Summary:

The Solar PV Country General Manager is responsible for leading and expanding the company’s solar PV business in Vietnam. This senior role oversees strategy, business development, project execution, operations, team leadership, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. The Country General Manager will drive growth, ensure operational excellence, and represent the company to clients, investors, authorities, and partners in the Vietnamese market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute business plans and growth strategies to expand the solar PV portfolio in Vietnam, aligned with company objectives and local market trends.
• Originate, evaluate, and secure new solar PV project opportunities, building a robust pipeline through market analysis and networking.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from development and permitting through construction, commissioning, and operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Lead, recruit, train, and develop a high-performing local team; foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Manage day-to-day operations of existing solar assets to maximize performance, optimize efficiency, and minimize costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, clients, government agencies, utilities, and local communities.
• Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese laws, energy regulations, and permitting requirements; maintain constructive relationships with regulatory authorities.
• Oversee financial performance, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and securing project funding in collaboration with the finance team.
• Represent the company at industry events, with media, and in negotiations, enhancing the company’s reputation and market presence.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, project delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership or general management role, preferably in solar PV and within Vietnam or Southeast Asia.
• Proven track record in project development, business development, and operational management of large-scale solar PV projects.
• Strong understanding of the Vietnamese energy market, regulatory landscape, and permitting processes.
• Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Vietnamese is a strong advantage.
