Position Title: Wind Power Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Wind Power Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of wind energy projects from site selection through construction and commissioning. This role requires expertise in project management, technical oversight, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and financial control to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of wind power project development, including site assessment, permitting, design, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, resources, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and safety professionals.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial profitability.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards, as well as relevant regulations and permits.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, contracts, and project reports.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers, contractors, landowners, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address issues and delays.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical due diligence, site inspections, and quality control checks.
• Support clients in achieving financial close and provide input for technical due diligence and project financing.
• Maintain project records, risk registers, and ensure all documentation is up to date.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to site safety policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of four to five years’ experience in project management, ideally within the renewable energy or wind sector.
• Proven track record managing large-scale construction or renewable energy projects.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project), budgeting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of environmental, safety, and industry regulations relevant to wind energy projects.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills may be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or renewable energy is an advantage.
• Experience with contract negotiation and administration, including FIDIC or similar contracts.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Commitment to sustainability and renewable energy industry best practices.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
