Vietnam’s REE teams up with Envision on 200 MW wind project

Envision Energy has secured a 200-megawatt (MW) wind project from REE Energy in Vietnam, its largest wind project in the country and biggest overseas nearshore wind project.

The Phu Cuong 1A and 1B project will use 25 EN-226/8.X YE wind turbines. Deliveries will begin in the second quarter of 2027, with grid connection targeted for October 2027.

Envision said the turbines are designed for Vietnam’s nearshore wind conditions and are expected to maximise energy output and long-term performance.

The project follows the companies’ 128 MW Vinh Long wind projects, where turbine deliveries are underway after production began in April 2026.

Nguyen Quang Quyen, managing director of REE Energy, said the Phu Cuong project builds on the companies’ successful collaboration on the Vinh Long wind project, which strengthened REE Energy’s confidence in Envision as a long-term partner.  “The progress achieved together on the Vinh Long project has deepened our confidence in Envision as a trusted partner.”
