About the Role
We are looking for a Solar Civil Engineer to support the development and delivery of ground mounted solar PV projects ranging from 5 MW to 10 MW. This role will be responsible for civil engineering activities from design review and contractor selection through to construction oversight, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and EPC contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the civil engineering scope for ground mounted solar PV projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Prepare and manage RFQs, technical specifications, and tender documentation for civil works.
- Evaluate EPC contractor proposals and support the technical selection and appointment process.
- Act as the Owner’s Engineer during project execution, ensuring civil works are delivered in accordance with design, quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
- Review civil designs, drawings, calculations, and engineering deliverables prepared by consultants and EPC contractors.
- Coordinate with internal project development, engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor construction progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve technical issues during execution.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, engineering standards, and HSE requirements.
- Review contractor progress, construction methodologies, and quality of work.
- Support project commissioning and final handover from a civil engineering perspective.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 6 to 10 years of civil engineering experience within renewable energy, infrastructure, or power projects.
- Experience delivering ground mounted solar PV projects is highly preferred.
- Experience preparing RFQs, evaluating tenders, and selecting EPC contractors.
- Experience acting as or supporting the Owner’s Engineer during construction.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, foundations, drainage, roads, structural supports, and site development for solar projects.
- Familiarity with Korean engineering standards and construction practices is preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and contractor coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
