Vertex Search is delighted to be supporting a major global OEM within the wind energy sector on the appointment of a senior Materials Management leader to be based in Vietnam overseeing regional activities.
This is a strategic leadership role focused on regional supply chain performance, material flow optimisation, warehouse operations, and service delivery support across a fast-growing APAC platform. The business is undergoing continued expansion across renewable energy projects and long-term service operations, making this a highly visible position with strong regional exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the regional materials management and logistics strategy
- Ensure efficient and reliable supply chain operations across service and project activities
- Oversee inventory management, warehousing structures, stock control, and forecasting activities
- Optimise material flow processes and reduce operational lead times
- Drive KPI reporting, operational performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and Service teams
- Manage escalations and ensure material availability for critical project and maintenance activities
- Build and mentor a regional materials management team within a dynamic international environment
- Ensure compliance with internal quality and operational standards
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline
- Proven experience within materials management, logistics, supply chain, or technical service operations
- Prior leadership experience managing regional or international teams
- Strong ERP systems knowledge, ideally SAP
- Experience managing warehouse operations, planning, and forecasting processes
- Strong analytical mindset with exposure to KPIs and operational performance management
- Ability to operate within a fast paced and highly matrixed international organisation
- Renewable energy, wind energy, heavy industry, or OEM background highly advantageous
- Fluent English required
