Job Title: Associate – Investments (Renewable Energy)

Location: Singapore

Job Responsibilities:

• Build, refine, and maintain project‑level and portfolio financial models from scratch
• Perform detailed financial analysis including valuation, sensitivities, scenarios, and project returns
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for senior management and investment committee
• Support end‑to‑end transaction processes: due diligence, financial structuring, documentation review, and execution
• Evaluate greenfield, brownfield, and acquisition opportunities across solar, wind, hydro, and BESS in Southeast Asia
• Conduct regulatory and market analysis in core SEA markets (for example Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand)
• Work with development partners and internal teams to assess project feasibility and risks (grid, permitting, land, offtake, technical)
• Support lender due diligence, financial close activities, and project finance modelling
• Assist in evaluating and negotiating key commercial terms related to PPAs, EPC/O&M, joint ventures, and land agreements
• Collaborate closely with senior investment leaders, finance, technical, legal, and external advisors
• Travel regionally (30–50 percent) for site visits, due diligence, partner meetings, and transaction workstreams
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, or related field
• 3–5 years experience in renewable energy investment, development, project finance, or infrastructure
• Strong financial modelling skills, including ability to build models from scratch (FM test required)
• Solid understanding of valuation principles, project finance, and investment risk analysis
• Exposure to Southeast Asian power markets (for example Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand)
• Sector knowledge across solar, wind, BESS, and hydro
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to work with senior stakeholders
• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a lean team environment
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

Desired Experience:

• Experience in corporate M&A, energy/infrastructure private equity, or principal investing
• Familiarity with SEA electricity markets, merchant risk, and ASEAN regulatory frameworks
• Experience working with multilaterals, DFIs, or export credit agencies
• Prior experience in regional renewable energy project development or investment across Southeast Asia
