Senior Account Manager – Solar C&I

An established global renewable energy company is seeking a Senior Account Manager to support the growth of its commercial and industrial (C&I) solar business in Australia. This role will focus on expanding channel relationships, developing new project opportunities, and driving market growth across distributed solar segments.

The position suits a commercially driven professional with strong solar sales experience, capable of managing complex sales cycles and building long-term customer and partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow and manage customer and project pipelines across channel and C&I solar markets
  • Execute regional and overseas sales strategies aligned with broader business objectives
  • Develop, manage, and support distributor and partner relationships to achieve commercial targets
  • Work closely with internal technical, operations, and supply teams to ensure:
  • Sales commitments are delivered
  • Projects progress smoothly from order to delivery
  • Monitor market developments through ongoing customer engagement and industry research
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
  • Recommend and implement commercial strategies to improve sales performance and market penetration

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the solar industry, ideally within C&I or distributed generation
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stage sales processes
  • Fluency in English and strong local market communication skills
  • Strong business development mindset with the ability to open new accounts and grow existing ones
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, competitive environment
  • Existing C&I and distributor network within the solar or broader energy sector
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated deal negotiation capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
