A leading IPP is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Australia and Vertex Search is leading the process. The business has a strong track record in solar, wind and battery storage and continues to expand its Australian portfolio through both greenfield development and construction-stage assets.
This role sits at the intersection of project delivery, commercial strategy and supplier management, and will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest contractual standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities across renewable energy projects, including EPC, balance of plant, major equipment and services
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project schedules, cost targets and risk profiles
- Run competitive tender processes, including RFP preparation, bid evaluation and commercial negotiations
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts in close coordination with legal, engineering and project teams
- Support cost optimisation, supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across development, construction, finance and operations
Background and experience
- Proven experience in procurement or commercial management within energy, infrastructure or large-scale construction projects
- Strong understanding of EPC contracting and major package procurement
- Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and manage complex supplier relationships
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Experience in renewable energy projects is highly preferred
