Our client is a leading player in the Asia-Pacific digital infrastructure sector, driving innovation and sustainable growth with cutting-edge data centre projects. As they expand our operations in Japan, they are searching for a highly capable and driven Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner to the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the right hand to the CEO, facilitating communication, project execution, and alignment among executive leadership, internal teams, and external partners.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, especially those related to data centre development, digital transformation, and expansion efforts within Japan.
- Manage executive priorities by providing critical analysis, briefings, and decision support on key initiatives and operational matters.
- Prepare, review, and refine presentations, reports, and documentation for board meetings, investor relations, and government stakeholders.
- Drive organisational efficiency by establishing robust processes and tracking delivery on company-wide objectives and KPIs.
- Act as a trusted liaison with Japanese regulatory bodies, industry associations, and business partners to help navigate compliance requirements and business opportunities specific to the Japanese market.
- Champion the company’s culture and values, fostering collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
- Japanese national or fluent in native-level Japanese with deep cultural/business understanding of Japan.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience, including significant exposure to the data centre, telecommunications, or wider digital infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated experience working in strategic planning, high-level project management, and executive support roles.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels, including with regulators, clients, partners, and internal teams in Japan.
