Position: Advisor – Investment Origination (Japan / South Korea)

About the Fund:

A leading global infrastructure private equity fund (US$40B+ AUM) seeks advisors to originate investment opportunities in Japan and South Korea. The fund invests in sectors including energy, digital infrastructure, transport, and ESG-focused projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage networks to source proprietary/off-market infrastructure deals
• Provide market insights across digital, energy, environmental, transport, social infrastructure, and services
• Facilitate introductions to key stakeholders (corporates, developers, regulators)
• Support deal screening, due diligence, and represent the fund in high-level discussions

Candidate Profile:

• Extensive infrastructure investment/advisory experience in Japan or South Korea
• Minimum 30 years of professional experience in Japan/Korea’s corporate, academic, or government sectors, with a preference for those who have held senior executive or advisory positions at leading universities or major conglomerates
• Strong track record in deal origination/execution
• Senior relationships with asset owners, developers, and government entities
• Experience with top-tier infrastructure funds preferred
• Fluency in Japanese or Korean (plus English)
• Independent, entrepreneurial, and flexible

Compensation:

Base retainer plus attractive, performance-based success fees; flexible engagement structure.
