Position Summary:
The Project Development Manager will lead financial modeling, due diligence, and structuring for large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role requires expertise in financial analysis, risk assessment, and stakeholder collaboration to drive financially viable project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Develop and maintain complex project finance models (DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivity analyses).
- Evaluate cash flows, funding structures, and investment returns to assess feasibility.
- Optimize financial strategies based on performance data and market trends.
- Support financing negotiations (debt/equity) and capital allocation decisions.
- Project Financial Due Diligence
- Lead due diligence for new projects, identifying financial risks/opportunities.
- Analyze financial statements, business plans, and partnership/joint venture proposals.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Present financial insights to executives and investors, translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Liaise with lenders, regulators, and partners to align financial terms with project goals.
- Risk Management & Reporting
- Monitor financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Deliver regular reports on project financial health, budgets, and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CFA preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in project finance, due diligence, or infrastructure/renewables.
- Proven track record in financial modeling and structuring large-scale projects.
- Skills:
- Advanced Excel/Python; familiarity with project finance software.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in energy, infrastructure, or real estate project finance.
- Knowledge of debt structuring, tax equity, and investor reporting.
